I purchased this tv virtually 2 weeks ago to interchange a 42 inch Panasonic plasma. There are a portion of bully things nearly this tv, simply the one thing that matters nigh – the film – was a big disappointment. The intent and features of this tv are great. Internet worked really well, menus are nicely put out and I loved the big screen. If you reckon the tv straight on, the pic is excellent, merely if you ride the slightest routine off kernel it washes away quickly. Negro stratums gone terrible, screen uniformity issues gone glaring (flashlighting and erect banding) and colors UN65D8000 (particularly flesh tones) are poor. Watching an episode of American Horror Story was a nightmare. I exchanged this tv for the PN64D8000 plasma and am much happier. The plasma picture is not quite as bright, merely the off essence reckoning and colors are far superior. For me, improve black layers and color are more important than spectacularly bright whites. The plasma has a far superior picture.
